Project Support Hall

People make the archive grow.

One story, a recovered source or a thoughtful correction can preserve something that might otherwise disappear. Your experience, attention to detail and willingness to share knowledge are what matter most here.

The archive is open to everyone. Reading and contributing do not require financial support.

How a contribution enters the archive

Submissions are not published automatically. We distinguish facts from memories and opinions, check available sources, and agree on the final text first.

  1. Verifiable claims should be supported by links or documents.
  2. Personal experience is labelled as an author’s account, not universal advice.
  3. Advertising, referral links, promises of returns and undisclosed promotion are not accepted.
  4. Editors may shorten a text, clarify wording or request further evidence.
  5. The author sees the prepared version before publication.

A personal initiative

Why this archive exists

One day I found damaged Bitcoin wallet files on an old computer. I do not know whether they can be recovered or whether they still provide access to any bitcoin. But the discovery raised another question: how many stories disappear with old computers and forgotten files?

My professional work involves finding and implementing technological solutions in industry. BTCSTORIES is my personal, independent initiative and hobby: an open archive for everyone. Here I want to preserve not only well-known events, but also people's experience—their first payments, good decisions, mistakes and losses.

Your story does not have to be famous to matter. If you have a memory, a source or a correction, let's start with an email. We will discuss and check the material first, then agree on publication and the byline.

Another way to help

If the archive matters to you and you would like to help its development, the project's BTC address is available below. No suggested amount, subscription or obligation. Reading, sharing a link or suggesting a correction are also ways to take part.

Support is intended for the domain, preserving materials, source verification and developing the open archive. A transfer is not a purchase, investment or publication fee; it provides no ownership, returns, privileged access or influence over editorial decisions.

Bitcoin on the main network (on-chain) only, not Lightning or tokens on other networks. Check the complete address and your wallet's fee before confirming.
